Purpose

To advise OVs of the implementation period for version 2.0 of GBHC620 and GBHC621 arriving from non-EU countries.

To advise OVs of the introduction of one new and removal of 2 existing model health certificates for importing consignments of animals and animal products into Great Britain. 

Background

All trading partners have now been informed of the introduction of version 2.0 of GBHC620 and GBHC621.

Version 2.0 of GBHC620 and GBHC621 must be used by all countries from 31 July 2025.

GBHC676 has been introduced and must be used from 31 July 2025.

GBHC670 and GBHC671 have been replaced by GBHC676 and will only be accepted until 31 July 2025. This is the last date (inclusive) that this certificate will be accepted, based on the date it was signed, not the date the consignment arrives in Great Britain.

GBHC621 (BOV-Y) – Model health certificate for domestic bovine animals (including Bubalus and Bison species and their cross-breeds) intended for immediate slaughter after importation.

GBHC670 (AOO) - Import of aquaculture animals for farming, relaying, put and take fisheries and open ornamental facilities GBHC671 (AOC) - Model health certificate for Import of ornamental aquatic animals intended for closed ornamental facilities.

GBHC676 (AOOP) - Model health certificate for Import of aquatic animals for farming, ornamental use, relaying or depuration, put and take fisheries and other purposes into GB, or live aquatic animals for transit via GB.
