This opinion reviews the impacts associated with specialised canine reproductive practices.

It assesses the health and welfare impacts from canine fertility businesses, whelping services and the welfare of popular ‘designer’ or ‘status’ dogs that are often the focus of such businesses.  

The Animal Welfare Committee sent this opinion to government on 21 March 2024.
