Details
This Wave 3 survey was carried out in 2021-2022 when OPSS was within the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS). This report represents a snapshot in time, with questions framed around awareness of BEIS.
This follow-up tracker survey was commissioned by the Office for Product Safety and Standards from YouGov. It includes comparisons against wave 2 and wave 1 where applicable. Its main objective was to understand consumers’ awareness of and views on a range of product safety issues to gain new insight on OPSS policy areas, building on existing research and evidence. It explored topical policy areas including button and coin batteries, UVC and air cleaners, and the right to repair. It also considered vulnerabilities and vulnerable groups. Its findings were based on a representative sample of 10,187 people from across the UK with a supporting telephone survey of 251 people who are very low or non-internet users.
