Details

These presentations and reports about the Oxford to Cambridge expressway strategic study were given to stakeholders at meetings held throughout 2015 and 2016.

Background to the Oxford to Cambridge expressway strategic study

The Oxford to Cambridge expressway strategic study is one of 6 strategic studies that will inform the development of the second phase of the Road investment strategy (RIS 2). An important part of each study will be to engage with stakeholders, including:

  • business
  • local councils
  • environmental and other groups

to outline and agree the scope, timing and management of the work.

The study was announced as part of the first phase of the Road investment strategy (RIS 1) published in December 2014. The RIS 1 and RIS 2 set out a long-term approach to improve England’s motorways and major roads (the ‘strategic road network’).
