Details
The parent, pupil and learner panel was set up to provide robust, rapid research on the experiences of parents, pupils and learners on a range of topical education issues.
In September and October 2022, recruitment wave 1, the Department for Education (DfE) recruited a panel of:
- parents or carers of primary school pupils in years 1 to 6
- parents or carers of secondary school pupils in years 7 to 11
- secondary school pupils in years 7 to 11
In February 2023, recruitment wave 2, the panel was expanded to include:
- pupils in years 12 and 13 in school sixth forms
- 16 to 18 learners in further education classroom settings
The panel were asked questions submitted by policy teams across DfE.
