Previous survey results: maternity and paternity rights and women returners survey 2009 to 2010

Details

Results from this survey on parental rights will feed in to research on the time off parents take when they have a baby and the financial help and wider support available to them.

BMG Research, an independent research organisation, will undertake face to face and telephone interviews with over 3,500 parents and will treat any information provided in the strictest of confidence.

The study will explore topical issues facing new parents, such as:

  • making decisions around childcare responsibilities within households
  • taking maternity, paternity or shared parental leave from employment
  • returning to work

The fieldwork will run into the summer and we expect to publish findings before the end of 2019.

The results will build on a similar survey undertaken in 2009 to 2010.

Please contact BMG Helpline on 0121 260 1001 if you have any queries.
