This is the latest revised guidance on victims.

This guidance provides information on the Parole Board’s duties towards victims under the Code of Practice for Victims of Crime (October 2015), which outlines the organisational context and legislation.

This replaces the following pieces of guidance:

  • ‘Chapter 14 – Section 13: The Parole Board for England and Wales – Practice Guidance on Duties towards Victims – February 2014’ from the guidance ‘Section B – Casework Policy and Practice – July 2014’.
  • ‘Annex H: The Parole Board for England and Wales - Practice Guidance for Members Duties towards Victims – April 2017’ from the guidance ‘Oral Hearings Guide – August 2018’.
