This statement by the Committee on the Medical Effects of Air Pollutants (COMEAP) updates earlier advice (2009 report, 2010 report and 2018 statement) on how to estimate mortality associated with long-term average concentrations of particulate air pollution. Appendix B discusses studies on populations with low levels of exposure and the shape of the exposure-response relationship.
