Details

The Pubs Code Adjudicator (PCA) has identified that the results from the 2023 PCA Tied Tenant Survey show a continued level of dissatisfaction from tied tenants regarding the way in which pub companies handle repairs and dilapidations.

Wanting to understand the reasons behind this, the PCA has undertaken a thematic review of repairs and dilapidations and has informally consulted with pub companies and the British Institute of Innkeeping (BII) to begin to understand the reasons behind the survey results.

The results of the review will assist the PCA in encouraging pub companies to identify what is driving levels of dissatisfaction and to manage this swiftly and effectively.
