The Civil Service Reform Plan sets out an expectation that Permanent Secretaries appointed to the main government departments that provide services will have at least 2 years’ experience in a commercial or operational role.
These reports show the number of Permanent Secretaries with at least 2 years’ experience in each area. They also provide the criteria and definitions of the levels of experience achieved in each area by Permanent Secretaries.
