Details
This is an open call for expressions of interest in delivering future satellite innovation programmes under the ESA ARTES Programme. We particularly invite programmes targeting LEO constellations, lunar communications and in-orbit servicing and manufacturing. This call invites projects that have achieved Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 4 or higher and have a minimum funding request of £2 million. All projects must include a compelling element of matched funding to be eligible under the programme. Further details on matched funding and other eligibility requirements are contained in the guidance document.

The call for expressions of interest opens on Monday 6 November 2023 and will close at midday on Friday 15 December 2023. The UK Space Agency aims to notify all applicants of the results of their expressions of interest by the week commencing Monday 15 January 2024.
The call is being run in partnership with the European Space Agency (ESA) and applicants who are invited to apply after submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) will also need to submit a UK Space Agency Cover Sheet and ESA ‘Outline Proposal’ to the UK Space Agency and ESA. This is to allow consideration of proposals by the UK Space Agency and ESA in parallel and reduce the time to award for successful applicants. The deadlines for these documents will be coordinated individually with applicants after the Expression of Interest phase.
Please note, this call will not impact the original schedule for the first round of the Competitiveness and Growth General Call. Applicants are welcome to submit proposals for more than one of the phases of the call.
