PHE data release register

Data releases made by the Office for Data Release for April 2017 to September 2020.

On 1 October, Public Health England (PHE) was disestablished and its functions shared across a number of ‘receivers’ organisations. During this period of transition, the Office for Data Release (ODR) paused its usual approval process to focus on the handover of data resources and applications to the receivers.

UKHSA continues to work with all receivers to support access to data previously available through PHE.

The Data Release Register describes each single release of personally identifiable or depersonalised PHE data that the ODR has supported access to and includes:

• who we have shared data with
• the date we released the data

The Data Release Register also includes how identifiable the data is.

COVID-19 (non-ODR) data access

The Data Release Register does not include details of when the PHE National Incident Coordination Centre (NICC) has supported the sharing of COVID-19 data to manage and mitigate the spread and impact of the current outbreak of COVID-19. PHE will publish a separate COVID-19 Data Approvals Register containing details of these approved uses.
