This report sets out Defra’s response to the report by the Independent Expert Panel on the Pilot Badger Culls in Somerset and Gloucestershire.

The Panel was appointed to review the safety, effectiveness (in terms of badger removal) and humaneness of the pilot badger culls in Somerset and Gloucestershire.

This report includes information about what we will be doing following the Panel’s recommendations.
