P.J. Lee & Sons Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is to vary licence serial number 6/33/34/*S/0215 which authorises the abstraction of water from Commissioners Drain in Swaffham Internal Drainage Board (IDB).

The variations applied for are:

  • To change the abstraction point to three reaches in Swaffham IDB between National Grid References: TL 54304 65642 to TL 55715 64003, TL 54526 66311 to TL 56318 64563 and TL 55939 66672 to TL 55889 66116.

  • To change the abstraction purpose to spray irrigation.

  • To reduce the abstraction quantity from 71,906 to 2,157 cubic metres per year and season from all year to 01 April to 31 October inclusive.
