Details

Public Health England (PHE) and system partners have developed a consensus statement which will support organisations and individuals to undertake placements in the field of public health.

Partners in the statement with PHE are:

  • Association of Directors of Public Health
  • Faculty of Public Health
  • Local Government Association
  • Health Education England
  • NHS England
  • UK Public Health Register

This statement, sponsored by the Standing Group on Local Public Health teams, includes a definition of placements shared by the partner organisations, the benefits and value of placements and a series of illustrative case studies.

The intended audience includes directors of human resources, workforce and organisational development, chief executive officers, directors of public health, and public health leaders and managers from all organisations within the public health system.
