This strategy sets out how Defra, the Forestry Commission and the devolved governments in Scotland and Wales will work together to protect plant biosecurity in Great Britain.

It has been developed in consultation with key stakeholders and includes the ‘Public Engagement in Plant Health Accord’. This accord has been signed by 30 organisations that pledge to engage with the public and promote positive behavioural change in relation to plant health. It was first announced at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2022.
