A year after the Call to action to ensure the rights and wellbeing of children born of sexual violence in conflict launched, the UK government launched the platform for action on this issue. The platform for action outlines the practical steps that can be taken to implement the principles of the call to action.

Thousands of children have been born as a result of conflict-related sexual violence (CRSV). Many are deeply affected by the circumstances of their conception and face significant obstacles, including stigma.

The platform sets out the challenges faced by children born of CRSV. It outlines a set of urgent priorities for addressing these challenges, providing a framework for coordinated action to do so.

By committing to specific actions under the platform, global partners, including governments, international organisations and civil society can take much needed action to support these children.

The commitments overview outlines existing commitments by global partners.
