We have received a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 for the following:
Which Company makes/produces the Police Long Service and Good Conduct Medal and what is the annual cost of their provision, either to the Treasury or the Home Office.

Annual cost to the Home Office for England, Wales, Channel Islands and the Isle of Man: Financial year 2010-2011 was at a cost of £285,858 (in previous years the cost has been approximately £130,000 - the 2010/11 higher spend was due to the reduction in the qualifying period of the PLSGCM from 22 to 20 years on the 19 January 2010, which involved officers coming up to 20, 21 and 22 years being included).
