1.The number of medical appeals submitted in total and from each individual force/police authority/pension authority.

2.The number of appeals which proceeded to a hearing.

3.The number of appeals which proceeded to a hearing and the percentage of the total appeals, related to (a) the issue of “permanent disablement” (b) the issue of whether an injury on duty caused or substantially contributed to an officer’s permanent disablement or (c) the assessment of an officer’s degree of disablement.

4.The number and the percentage of heard appeals which were successful. The number and the percentage of heard appeals which failed.

  1. The number of orders of costs made against (a) appellants and (b) police authorities/pension authorities.
