Details

This guidance replaces the previous Home Office pension forfeiture guidance (Home Office circular 018/2009). Its aim is to ensure greater consistency and understanding of the process of police officer pension forfeiture.

The guidance extends to all 43 territorial police forces in England and Wales and covers:

  • general information on police pension forfeiture
  • a chronology of a pension forfeiture application, to aid the application process
  • the information required by the Home Office to progress a police pension forfeiture application
  • the legislative basis for police pension forfeiture

We know this form is not fully accessible. If you need help to use it, email pension.forfeiture@homeoffice.gov.uk
