Details

The future of the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) was considered as part of the government’s review of public bodies in 2010.

The review concluded that the EHRC should be retained but substantially reformed and restructured to focus it on the areas where it can add value, to increase its accountability to the government, Parliament and the public, and to improve its effectiveness and value for money.
