Details
This report uses data from the 2 Longitudinal Studies of Young People in England, who took their GCSEs (year 11) in the academic years:
- 2005 to 2006
- 2014 to 2015
The data sets contain:
- information from surveys of the individuals undertaken each year from year 9 to year 13
- matched administrative data from the National Pupil Database (NPD) and Individualised Learner Record (ILR)
The data were used to investigate how attitudes to, and choice of, post-16 education have changed between the 2 cohorts.
You can view previous reports and analysis from the second longitudinal study on experiences of pupils in year 9, health and wellbeing, bullying and attainment and progress.
