The guidance for applicants explains how eligible sixth form colleges, further education colleges, 16 to 19 academies, free schools and local authority-maintained schools with sixth forms could apply for the post-16 capacity fund.

The deadline to apply for the most recent round of funding passed in November 2022.

  1. 'Post-16 capacity fund for 2023 to 2024: guidance for applicants' has been updated to revise the advice for 16-19 only academies in section 7.3.
