Details

Under the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012, government departments were required to review powers of entry to property within the remit of their legislation and consider whether they were still necessary, proportionate and contained sufficient safeguards. The FCO reviewed 99 powers of entry of which 11 have been revoked, 56 will be amended to provide for additional safeguards and 32 will be retained unchanged. Full details of these powers are contained in the FCO report.
