Details

The government has responded to recommendations made to help reduce the number of mothers affected by pregnancy and maternity discrimination in the workplace.

The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) made recommendations to government and others following a piece of independent research carried out on behalf of the EHRC and the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills.

This was the largest research project of its kind in Great Britain with more than 3,000 mothers and 3,000 employers taking part in the research project.
