Presenting gender pay gap figures to the public

Details

The government gender pay gap (GPG) viewing service publicly displays the GPG figures of employers.

In order to develop the service the Government Equalities Office commissioned the Behavioural Insights Team to test how alternative ways of presenting such figures affect comprehension and public attitudes.

This report presents the findings of an online randomised control trial that tested different means of communicating GPG data.
