Details

The Press Recognition Panel (PRP) was created by Royal Charter as a result of the Leveson Inquiry into press standards.

The Charter is part of the system designed to ensure the freedom of the press whilst also protecting the interests of the public.

The PRP is independent of any other body or influence, including from government and the press.
