Details

This prison service instruction (PSI) describes when and how prisoners are allowed contact with the media, such as journalists, by letter, telephone call or visit.

It also includes guidance for governors when considering requests from prisoners and the media for contact.

This is a current PSI. It came into effect on 12 July 2010.
