Details

This policy applies to all members of the expert panel, as well as Home Office officials supporting the panel.

This guidance ensures that:

  • personal data (including special category data) is processed fairly and lawfully by the expert panel, in compliance with the requirements of data protection legislation and other relevant information governance obligations
  • the members of the expert panel as well as the Home Office officials within the support team for the panel are aware of their responsibilities when processing personal data on behalf of the panel
  • the expert panel establishes and maintains a culture of data protection by design
