Details

The Home Affairs Select Committee conducted an inquiry into the role of private investigators, and the risks of an unregulated sector. The committee made a number of suggestions, including the statutory regulation of the private investigations sector.

It is the government’s intention that the regulation of the private investigations sector will begin in the autumn of 2014. The government provides full responses to the committee’s conclusions and recommendations in this document.
