Details

The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) review of journalism data practices under Section 178 DPA 2018 found no systemic issues but limited engagement from stakeholders. Few complaints were received about data protection in journalism compared to other sectors. The ICO plans to improve engagement and monitor developments for the next review in 2027.
