Details

This is the third annual review of the Prosperity Fund Global Business Environment Programme that costs £30 million over 4 years. It covers the period October 2019 to October 2020.

The programme aims to improve the business environment, which can mean a range of wider factors and conditions. These include security, law enforcement and availability of infrastructure with an impact on business activities.

Promoting a favourable business environment can unlock inclusive growth and lift people out of poverty by creating incentives that open up markets, attract investment and generate savings for businesses. This enables businesses to reinvest productively, create more and better paying jobs and to grow. Global growth is a strategic priority which is vital for UK prosperity.
