Provisional countervailing duty on continuous filament glass products from Egypt (anti-dumping duty 2392)

The Commission announced in Regulation 2020/379, Official Journal ref. L69, the imposition of provisional countervailing duty on imports of continuous filament glass originating in Egypt.
This regulation takes effect from 7 March 2020.
Products affected
The products included are:
- chopped glass fibre strands, of a length of not more than 50mm
- glass fibre rovings
- mats made of glass fibre filaments
Products not affected
The products excluded are:
- glass fibre rovings which are impregnated and coated and have a loss on ignition of more than 3% (as determined by the ISO Standard 1887)
- mats of glass wool

Countervailing duty rates
The rates of the provisional countervailing duty applicable to the net, free-at-Union-frontier price, before duty will be as follows:

The release for free circulation in the Union of the product will be subject to the provision of a security equivalent to the amount of provisional duty.
A decision regarding the imports under registration for the last three weeks will not be made until the conclusion of the investigation.
