National Employer Advisory Board (NEAB)

NEAB’s key function is to provide informed independent strategic advice to ministers, the Military Chief of Staff and the reserves community about how the Ministry of Defence can most effectively gain and maintain the support of and for employers of reservists for Britain’s Reserve Forces.

All appointments are voluntary but reasonable travel and subsistence expenses will be paid.

All appointments and re-appointments have been made in accordance with the Governance Code on Public Appointments.

2015

December

David McKay was re-appointed by Minister, Reserves, on 14 December 2015 for a further period of 3 years beginning on 1 January 2016 and ending on 31 December 2018.

March

The Minister of State for Defence Personnel, Welfare and Veterans has announced appointment of the following 5 new Members for a 3 year term ending on 31 May 2018.

  • Mr Tony Bagnall
  • Mr William Bird
  • Mr Peter Carter
  • Mr Martin McTague
  • Mr James Sproule

The Minister of State for Defence Personnel, Welfare and Veterans has also announced appointment of the following 2 new Members for a 2 year term ending on 31 May 2017.

  • Mr Vijay Randeniya
  • Mr Christopher Walkinshaw

All new Member’s take up appointment from 1 June 2015.

June

Minister (DPWV) has this month announced the re-appointment of the current chair, Mr Richard Boggis-Rolfe, for a further period of 5 years ending on 31 December 2019.

2013

July

Minister (DPWV) has announced the appointment of the following 3 members to NEAB.

  • Mr Kevin Goodman
  • Mr Alun Griffiths
  • Mr Paul Noon

New Members of NEAB will take up appointment for an initial term of 3 years, ending on 22 July 2016.
