PHE’s annual plan sets out how the organisation will deliver its core functions, outlining actions it will be the taking over the next year to protect and improve the public’s health and reduce inequalities.

It builds on the remit letter, which confirms the role that the government expects PHE to continue to play in the health and care system, prioritising prevention in supporting local government and the NHS over the next year.
