The Public Land for Housing programme 2015-20 aimed to release land from the central government estate for 160,000 homes by the end of March 2020 supporting the government’s ambition to deliver 300,000 homes a year by the mid-2020s.
This concluding summary report outlines:
- progress made by departments on release of surplus land for homes since 2015, up to the end of the second Public Land for Housing programme, at the end of March 2020
- information on progress on building homes on 1,625 sites across England disposed of through both the 2011-15 (PLHP1) and 2015-20 (PLHP2) Public Land for Housing programmes by the end of March 2020
