1. Request under the freedom of Information Act 2000
Thank you for your email, received on 5 July 2023, in which you requested information from the office of the Pubs Code Adjudicator (PCA) under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
The Freedom of Information Act 2000 entitles you to:
• know whether the information you have requested is held by the PCA; and
• be provided with that information, subject to any exemptions in the Freedom of Information Act 2000 which may apply.
You have requested the following information:
Please can you provide me with information concerning the maintenance of your corporate estate i.e. operational buildings, land and any other property (e.g. investment) and schools, if they are within your jurisdiction. Not any social housing/dwellings.
Q1. What type of maintenance management model does your organisation use? E.g. Managed supply-chain, single hard-fm & soft-fm contractor, internal workforce, principal contractor etc.
Q2. Can you provide a list of the approved contractors used?
Q3. What are the total values of contracts granted?
Q4. When do these contracts expire?
Q5. What services are provided in each contract?
Q6. What procurement method was used? E.g. Open ITT, Framework if so, which one?
I can confirm that the office of the PCA does not hold the information that you request.
In the interests of providing advice and assistance the PCA is an arm’s length body of the Department for Business and Trade (“DBT”) (formerly the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy) and is provided with assistance by DBT pursuant to the Small Business, Enterprise and Employment Act 2015. The only property currently occupied by the office of the PCA is office space on a floorplate leased by DBT under a 15 year agreement. DBT leases this property from the Government Property Agency, and the PCA pays a fee to reflect the proportion of desk space in the office building used, which factors in building facilities such as use of the desk space, use of meeting rooms and communal areas, maintenance and service etc.
If you do not believe that the office of the PCA has provided an appropriate response to your request, as set out above, you are entitled to ask for an internal review. Internal review requests should be submitted within two months of the date of receipt of the response to your original request and should be made in writing, quoting the above reference, to office@pubscodeadjudicator.gov.uk or:
