R. Dunthorne Limited: application made to abstract water

R. Dunthorne Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from the River Yare, Limpenhoe, within the boundary formed within the following National Grid References: TG 40055 03064, TG 40268 02992, TG 40233 02722 and TG 39918 02865.

The application is to abstract water as follows:

  • 63 cubic metres an hour

  • 1,500 cubic metres a day

  • 120,000 cubic metres a year

  • All year

  • At an instantaneous rate not exceeding 25 litres per second.

The water will be stored and used for spray irrigation.
