Details of the application
R J King and Sons has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a variation of a full licence to abstract water from the Hillfarrance Brook, Milverton at National Grid Reference ST 13800 25831.
The application is to abstract water as follows:

137 cubic metres an hour

2,700 cubic metres a day
-
111,300 cubic metres a year
The water will be used for spray irrigation.
The proposed abstraction lies within the Parrett Catchment and South and West Somerset Catchment Abstraction Management Strategy reporting area.
