R Macdonald and Son: application made to abstract water

R Macdonald and Son has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a full licence to abstract water from the Bentley Brook at Crabtree Farm, Great Bentley, Colchester, Essex at National Grid References TM 10123 22913 and TM 10193 22301.
The application is to abstract water as follows:
- 150 cubic metres an hour
- 3,600 cubic metres a day
- 174,950 cubic metres a year
- between November and March inclusive in each year.
The water will be used for filling a reservoir for subsequent spray irrigation. Two existing licences held by R Macdonald and Son will be revoked as part of this application.
