Independent consultancy and commissions

Appian Capital

Mr Raab sought the Committee’s advice about taking up a role with Appian Captial. The letter containing the Committee’s consideration and the conditions imposed on the appointment was sent in January 2024. An accessible version of the letter is available here.

Mr Raab informed the Committee of a change to his role in June 2024.   He said his role will change from Senior Strategic Advisor for Global Affairs to Head of Global Affairs; and there would be no other substantial changes to the role. The Committee considered this did not change its assessment of the risks under the government’s Business Appointment Rules and the conditions already imposed on the appointment remain appropriate.

Speaker, Chartwell Speakers

Mr Raab sought the Committee’s advice about taking up a role with Chartwell Speakers. The letter containing the Committee’s consideration and the conditions imposed on the appointment was sent in July 2023. An accessible version of the letter is available here.
