This report examines the difference in parameter values used in the marine dispersion model Dispersion Of Radionuclides In Seas (DORIS) and in previously reported data from the Environment Agency (EA) to define the local compartment.

The data sets were published in:

• PC-CREAM 08: radiological consequences of routine releases
• Parameter values used in coastal dispersion modelling for radiological assessments

This report includes:

• a review of differences between data sets
• a summary of proposed data
• an evaluation of the impact of changes to the model parameter values on dose

The findings of the report are applicable to UK sites.
