PHE-CRCE-015: Radiological impact of routine discharges from UK civil nuclear licensed sites during 2000s

Details

This report presents an assessment of the radiological impact of routine atmospheric and liquid discharges from UK civil nuclear licensed sites. It updates the previous report, NRPB-R312, in considering discharges in the mid-2000s and using the most recent assessment methodology.

Calculations of collective effective doses integrated to 500 and 100,000 years, typical annual individual doses and per caput-doses were performed for discharges in the mid-1990s and mid-2000s using the updated PC-CREAM 08® software program, which implements the EC methodology for assessing doses from routine releases from nuclear installations.
