The UK ETS Authority launched a private consultation on 8 July 2022, on a series of proposals relating to legal obligations on the Authority regarding the UK ETS registry data publication policy, including:

• publishing compliance data
• the publication of additional HSE data
• the introduction of a new legal exemption to enable the Authority to publish additional scheme data in the future

The consultation was open to:

• installation and aviation operators
• trading account holders
• hospital and small emitters (HSEs)

This is a joint response from HM Government, Scottish Government, Welsh Government and the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs for Northern Ireland to the consultation.
