Ofqual regulates statutory early years foundation stage profile and national curriculum assessments (some of which are often referred to as ‘SATs’), which together we refer to as ‘national assessments’.

This document sets out our regulatory framework for national assessments. It does not apply to regulated qualifications and awarding organisations.
