This guidance has been written by technical consultants who have worked for a working party representing all stakeholder groups with an interest in fire safety on sub-surface railway stations.

The guidance assists enforcers and operators in understanding the Fire Precautions (Sub-surface Railway Stations) (England) Regulations 2009 that replace the Fire Precautions (Sub-surface Railway Stations) Regulations 1989.
