Details
The Department for Education (DfE) has committed to funding the removal of reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (RAAC) present in schools and colleges in England either through grants, or through the school rebuilding programme.
The published information and figures are correct as of 8 February 2024 and refer to state-funded schools, maintained nursery schools and further education (FE) colleges in England. It includes information on:
- the funding route to remove RAAC present in schools and colleges
- data on the education settings confirmed to contain RAAC
The number of settings where RAAC was identified was 234. As all these settings are now in face-to-face education the publication of this management information on RAAC mitigations has ended.
‘Background on RAAC management information’ contains more details on this data.
