Permanent Secretary Melanie Dawes has written to the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government the Rt Hon James Brokenshire MP who in return issued a ministerial direction.

The letters relate to funding the remediation of private sector buildings over 18 metres which have unsafe Aluminium Composite Material (ACM) cladding.
