Remit letter to the National Infrastructure Commission

Details

The Chancellor has written a public letter to the Chair of the National Infrastructure Commission, Sir John Armitt. This letter updates the Commission’s objectives. The letter also sets the Commission a revised binding fiscal remit, which states that the Commission’s recommendations must be consistent with gross public investment in economic infrastructure of between 1.1% and 1.3% of GDP in each year between 2025 and 2055.
