Renaker Build Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a licence to abstract water from Manchester and East Cheshire Permo-Triassic Sandstone Aquifers at Plot F1 Great Jackson Street, Manchester, using 11 dewatering wells within the area with National Grid References SJ 83375 97256, SJ 83341 97237, SJ 83371 97228 and SJ 83389 97235 for the purpose of dewatering a construction site. The abstracted water will be transferred to a sewer at National Grid Reference SJ 83346 97300 without intervening use.
The application is to abstract water as follows:
